A Multiple Boiler System for Efficient, Dependable Operation

The Constellation multiple boiler heating system delivers the efficiency and flexibility required for today's commercial applications requiring hot water heat fueled by oil. Based on Utica's Starfire III, the Constellation combines a smart design with quality components to deliver efficiencies up to 86%.

Multiple Boilers for More Efficient Operation

The Constellation is made of 2 or more modules allowing the option to step-fire individual modules with an outdoor reset control according to the changing outdoor conditions and heating load. By utilizing this type control, only the modules necessary to meet the heating demand of the day need to burn fuel. Most competitors commercial boilers are all "on" or all "off" wasting energy and fuel dollars on mild degree-days.

Cast-Iron Sections and Push Nipples

The Constellation system utilizes cast-iron construction in each boiler because of its durability and efficient heat transfer capabilities. Cast iron sections and push nipples are utilized to construct the heat exchanger. Using only the highest quality cast-iron and heat transfer designs, the Constellation will provide many years of efficient and trouble-free operation. And since multiple cast-iron heat exchangers are utilized, a total system shutdown is avoided because each module can operate independently and be serviced when necessary without effecting system operation.

Installation Flexibility

The Constellation system can be customized to fit specific job requirements with multi-module flexibility and a compact unit size. Unlike massive one piece commercial boiler heat exchangers, individual modules are preassembled and are only 22"x 32" making them easy to install and fit through small doorways eliminating any building modifications.

Easy Access and Maintenance

A sturdy cast-iron swing door allows for quick and easy inspection of the oil burner and combustion area while extra large flueways allow for easy cleaning and set-ups. These flue way openings are easily accessed through an integrated two part draft hood. In addition, a recessed target wall increases the chamber size and is protected from accidental flue brush damage during normal maintenance. All components are easy to reach, greatly reducing the time spent on regular maintenance and service calls.

Factory Pre-Wired & Tested

Each Constellation Boiler is shipped with controls pre-wired and is subjected to a series of rigorous quality assurance tests to provide quick and easy setup in the field.

Efficiency Ratings up to 86%

With efficiencies up to 86%, the Constellation provides increased energy savings for commercial buildings. A primary/secondary piping system increases the boiler's efficiency by circulating water only through those units in operation. In addition, the wet-base design of the Constellation encloses the combustion area with water on five sides therefore maximizing heat transfer. And a special mounting plate enlarges the chamber area for more efficient combustion.
